Would you barrier.....

I am soon to mount aluminium PV panels on to unistrut. I presume the unistrut I have obtained is galvanised, would you barrier between the two different metals?

If you really want to stop reaction then the way to do that is either paint the steel and or paint the steel and aluminium solar panel case, you would be surprised just how quickly the aluminuim will corrode if there is not some sort of barrier between them, especially when there is an electrical presence. Thank you Sprinter but I am not penetrating the body. There are two roof bars in situ and I am using them. Good idea that though

Sprinter 1 cup, which size unistrut did you use?
Thanks
I used the low one 22mm as I'm hanging a awning of the unistrut. And it sat inside the gully up there 4.6 m. .run it a little longer as I got the 6 meter leangth at £30.00 each including 2 cross railsoff cut for lighs rails

If you need m8 or m6 nut things I can bring some to next meet.
Thank you for the offer!
My van is a bit far at the moment, only getting it in September.
Depends when the meet is if I will come, but thank you for the offer!
I asked as i was not sure if the 22mm one is tall enough for a cross bar.
Many thanks!

Thank you!
