Hi, hoping somebody can help, we had a van professionally converted in 2017, a solar panel installed at same time.
We were away off grid at a festival last year, we have a Sargent e160, the battery drained really quick, their was lots of people knowledgeable about leisure batteries and electric’s system their and some one changed our battery for us, he also installed a victron energy smart solar mppt 100/20 for us as he said the controller we had was “ a cheap eBay one”, when installed all working well and Sargent reader showed what victron reading was. Problem is the Sargent is now showing 9volts where as the reading on our victron is showing 13.63. This is affecting the water pump, lights and fridge. Any suggestions in what is going on to help us please

With thanks

Hi Sarspen,
Have you actually measured the voltage at the battery terminals with a multimeter? That would be a good start for trying to sort your problem. Preferably remove the neg side temporarily so as to make certain of the voltage the battery is providing. Then armed with that a more indepth investigation can be made. Phil
